Methodology for Monitoring the Mobility of Circular Labour Migrants in Moscow Region

The paper presents the original author’s methodology for monitoring commuting labour migration in a region on example of Moscow Region. is based regular collection real-time information from Yandex.Probki platform regional transport network state by querying and saving travel time fixed set car routes (basic sample) covering under study. An analysis data collected over past two years enabled studying structure dynamics losses migrants. are sensitive to events such as lockdowns holidays. estimates obtained show stable cyclicity within day week, which confirms validity indicator proposed author. study demonstrates that loss commute during peak hours 2.5 times higher than when driving without traffic jams.
